Galatia Pamboridis, a renowned food blogger, cookbook author and TV chef, inquired with R Digital to bring her love for food, closer to audiences, through Cuisinovia, her new food blog.

The brief was clear to R Digital, to create an easy to navigate and visually appealing platform, meticulously designed to inspire culinary enthusiasts around the island, offering easy access to Galatia’s extensive collection of recipes and innovative features tailored to food lovers.

First we had to understanding the Vision:

Our initial discussions with Galatia were crucial in grasping the essence of Cuisinovia and the vision she had for her blog. This deep understanding enabled us to design a solution that was not only functional but also reflective of her personal style and culinary philosophy.

Design and Development Challenges:

The design phase tackled several challenges, including the incorporation of a dual-language system without compromising the user experience. Our design team ensured that the visual elements were culturally resonant across both languages, maintaining a consistent theme that mirrored the sophisticated yet accessible tone of Cuisinovia. We integrated Instagram directly into the blog, allowing seamless updates and interaction from the social media platform where Galatia has a significant presence. This feature ensured that her latest posts and culinary adventures were instantly shared with her blog audience.

Custom Features for Enhanced User Interaction:

The ‘My Cuisinovia’ feature was developed to allow users to save their favourite recipes, creating a personalised collection that users can return to and modify at their convenience. Additionally, we implemented a print-friendly option for recipes, catering to users who prefer a tangible copy while cooking.
The website’s architecture was carefully planned to categorise recipes by dish type, course and thematic collections, such as holiday-specific recipes or various other cuisines. A video library was also integrated, providing step-by-step cooking guides hosted by Galatia herself.

The new Cuisinovia blog was met with enthusiasm and positive feedback from Galatia and both from Galatia, new visitors and long-time followers. The intuitive design, made navigating through recipes and video content a delightful experience.

Since the launch, Cuisinovia has seen a significant increase in daily visitors, longer session durations and a higher rate of return users. The inclusion of an English language option opened up Galatia’s blog to a broader audience, amplifying her reach and influence within the global culinary community.
